How do Broadjam Opportunity Reviews Work?
Songs are graded on a "Good," "Better," "Best" system. We use this system because it ensures that every time somebody does a review, they are giving one song a high score. This way, someone who wants to vote down every song except his or her own is forced to vote fairly and give high scores as well.
Each song's rating is determined by averaging the individual votes by each reviewer. Every "Good" is worth 1 point, "Better" is worth 2 points, and "Best" is worth 3 points. We add up the total points a song gets, and divide by the number of votes it received to determine its final score.
Here are some more points:
- Songs with a lower number of peer reviews are prioritized in the review lineup to make sure every song gets close to the same number of reviews.
- Any member who reviews songs will have a chance to review each submitted song once.
- Songs must be listened to for at least one minute for the review to be counted.
- Entrants cannot review their own submissions.
