Cyber, gothic rock that’s innocently sweet to scary in a split second, is the confronting picture on this purple, blood red and black canvas. Whether you’re into pop, dance or hardcore alternative music, you can’t help but be drawn into the pretty, almost classical vocals from the innocent face of the petite form that is Erin Blackie (lead vocals), only to find that in an almost schizophrenic flip, she rips up your emotional rollercoaster into a rage of raspy hardcore rock. You’re left with your jaw on the ground, as if that wooden stake she was just singing about was just driven straight into your heart.
Rocking hard by her side, you’ll see Andrei Jennings (guitar), giving all to his unforgettable riffs and pop rock-style chord progressions. However, lurking in the shadows is where Ryan Schofield (programming) does everything else – looping together the next big vicious beat, slamming out a nasty bassline, backup vocals, a second guitar etc…etc…you get the idea!

At some bigger events, they have also enlisted a live drummer to add to their ‘big’ sound, and you’ll even see dancers which Erin choreographs in her no less than dark, theatrical style. With Erin’s background in professional dance and acting, that’s exactly what a DOA performance is – a fantasty, theatrical experience and a witness to Erin’s on stage self-therapy, which is certainly very real!
