Having a modicum of success in the late 70's as the leader of the NewGrass phenoms "The Over the Mountain Boys", Coby Herd morphed into a seasoned New Media producer working with some of the top artists (Kenny Barron, MaryAnn McSweeney, Chico Hamilton) in jazz today. Prompted by Jazz Bassist MaryAnn McSweeney to re-release his original material, he made the switch from producer to performer in 2001.
