Matthew Smith - a percussionist turned wannabe contemporary / gospel country singer-songwriter and self taught guitarist who's talents include faking his way through guitar leads and imitating an amalgam of his lyrical and vocal influences with the hopes of displaying a unique sound and style. There is no end to the instruments Matthew has and will attempt to learn to fain mastery, no matter how futile. His dream is to sale twice the number of units as his idol Garth. Matthew is currently the drummer for the rock band SydeTract, a rising star of the Dallas club scene. He has been writing for almost two decades (even though it is hard to sharpen a keyboard). He has no formal coaching, and not one wit of theory education or training, His passion for singing and love of music is the only driving factor in his career.....besides great wealth and the gleeful admiration of his die hard fans.........all three of them.
