Chris Lock's Rock Music
Chris Lock's music is heart-felt, passionate, garage rock. He strives to create songs that his friends will love to hear après ski, at a house party, or sitting on the beach laughing and drinking beer.
He’s inspired by life, love, fun, pain, Jack Daniels, smart/sexy women, first tracks in the powder, good friends, and family.
Chris wrote his first song with his grandfather Jack when he was 3. Jack loved music. Chris’ dad and two uncles love and play music. As a kid he went to a fine arts school (think “Fame”) and learned to sing opera and perform on stage.
Then, his voice broke; he got his first guitar, discovered beer, bars, and girls. He and his musical buddies Johnny & Dave started and played in a bunch of rock/punk/alternative bands in the standard teenage quest to meet chicks, get signed, and become the next Rolling Stones. As they became young men a disease called “adulthood” overcame them. They got jobs, wives, and mortgages and forgot about rock & roll. In quest to find a cure for “adult-ism”, in 2006 Chris abandoned his old life, the business world, bought a Gibson guitar, joined a band, moved Lake Tahoe and today is a ski bum and singer/songwriter.
