Bio

If you ask Chelbie who her biggest musical influences are, don't be surprised when she answers, "God, Reba, and Willie Nelson." From the time she donned her first pair of red fringe boots, Chelbie was a star. Singing into hairbrushes, karaoke machines, and fireplaces just to hear her voice echo, Chelbie's versions of "Fancy" and "Walkin' After Midnight" quickly became family favorites. Her performances at church revivals and bluegrass festivals helped to develop her love of gospel and bluegrass, but it was her performances at opry houses across North Texas that gave her the first true taste of the thrill of being onstage.

Chelbie has performed at the famed Johnnie High's Country Music Revue in Arlington, which has served as a career catalyst for many successful artists including LeAnn Rimes, Steve Holy, Lee Ann Womack, John Anderson, and more. She has also been a featured performer at venues such as The Cotton Pickin' Theatre in Pointe, Texas where she was a finalist in the "Rural American Idol" competition as well as hostess of the "Saturday Nite Shindig Show." Her other on-stage appearances include the Mt Pleasant Jamboree, the Hopkins County Fall Festival Gospel Songfest, and the Catalpa Festival in Scroggins, Texas.

Trained on the violin, piano, guitar, mandolin, and harmonica, Chelbie's love of music spans past the stage. However, songwriting has always been her true passion. Discovering her talent at an early age, Chelbie's original music has won multiple awards including first place in the Americana Music Festival songwriting competition which earned her a single-song publishing contract for her Christmas tune, "Home for the Holidays." She also received two honorable mention awards in the Diamond Rio Nashville Song Search for her songs "You'll Still Be Gone" and the fan favorite "Not Love Me Anymore," which is featured on her new album. Most recently, Chelbie's piano ballad, "Compete With You," was selected by the licensing company Song and Film for placement on a major cable TV network. More details about the song placement will be coming soon.

Chelbie's debut album, "Tequila Mockingbird," listens like a page from a diary, combining tales of love, heartbreak, and triumph. The album, which features all-original music, was recorded in Nashville with some of the industry's premier musicians for a contemporary feel and a true country sound. With her eclectic style, taste, and talents, Chelbie's music has found a fan base with listeners young and old. Keep watching for the latest updates on her musical career.
