Charlotte Ryerson, from Texarkana, Texas, was the second runner up in the Dallas Songwriters Association 2003 Song Contest with her song, “Lonoke.” Charlotte’s song, “Silver Train,” took first place in the Singer-Songwriter semi-finalist category, while her song, “Old Dreams,” received third place in the Christian/Inspirational semi-finalist category. In 2004, Charlotte placed first in the Bare Bones and Singer/Songwriter categories in the Austin Songwriters Group 2004 Song Contest with "Silver Train" and "One Last Time", respectively. She is inspired to work even harder to be the best songwriter she can be, and realizes she has much to learn from other writers and singers. She loves the process more than ever!
