Chains of the Primitive is all about the music and the power behind the music. In other words, Chains of the Primitive wants to rock you, HARD. So hard that you won't be able to breath afterward. You might even pass out, fall to the ground and have a concussion. But that's the risk that you, the listener, has to take when listening to Chains of the Primitive. Chains of the Primitive doesn't want to change the way music is played or change the ways of the world. Chains of the Primitive wants to change you. Thats right. Let us help you. We are willing to walk through the door if you are will to open it and close it after we're through the doorway. Thank you.

Biography

Chains of the Primitive started as a two man "band" in the summer of 2001. Caleb Parker and Travis DuBois called their duo "Heavy Distortion" and played their music by screaming and cranking their 15 watt amps as loud as possible.

Slowly they realized that they needed more people to form a real band. First, Eddie Barkhurst was inducted as the bass player. They had known Eddie for a while and he was a better guitarist and bass player than both of them so it worked out pretty well. In the summer of '02 fresh out of drug rehab they picked up a singer. Tony Dickenson. Things were starting to look better, a two guitarists, a bassist, and a singer. Tony brought a different sound to the band. Instead of sounding like muddled static Chains of the Primitive began to sound like a real rock band.

They were still missing something, a drummer. That didn't stop them from playing a few local concerts with a drum maching. It's all about the music right? Going through several drummers they settled on the obvious choice. Ex-punk rocker Ken Stine. The youngest member of the band. And that was it. A real, complete band. Like a GI Joe with all the accesories. They had it all. They recorded a CD - The Harvest of Past Times. A 13-song debut recorded on a Tascam digital recorder (still in use, in fact, the songs you are listening to are all recorded on it). They have played a number of concerts and rocked them all. Currently, Chains of the Primitive is working on their next album. Yep, that's it.
