Big News is that my song "Hug" ("We all need a Hug") is being used as a soundtrack to the Imperial Leather (soap products) Advertisement. The ad was shown first on the UK's biggest audience show, "The X-Factor" and will gradually be shown on the entire ITV commercial network as well as some Children's channels. Cinema advertising begins in early December.
Well - it's true enough! - "We all need a Hug"!!!!

Ben Sands is a singer-songwriter, story-teller and multi-instrumentalist, reared on a small farm near the Mourne Mountains in County Down on the East coast of Ireland.
His background is in Irish traditional songs and music stretching back over many generations. With sister, Anne and brothers, Tommy and Colum (“The Sands Family”) he has performed in Ireland, UK, USA and Europe since the late 1960s and recorded 15 albums.
Ben has tried his hand on many instruments and after early excursions on piano and fiddle he added further adventures on guitar, tin whistle, uilleann pipes, tenor banjo, bazouki and mandolin.
To date, Ben has recorded three solo albums, “Take Your Time” (1993), “Roots and Branches” (1996) and “Better Already” (2003).
