My greatest dream is to have other artists record Nikki Hornsby music. I have over 300 of them but the ones here on Broadjam are the commercial releases that proved meritorious enough for commercial airplay offline nationally & internationally in the past. My (p)(c) "Music Is The Only Thing" is currently having entirely new instrumentation (flute, cello, violin, etc.) changed for a more classical feel. I learned many years ago that the determination of a type of song (genre) being either Pop, country, or hip hop, etc. has certain factors to consider like instrumentation & vocal pronunciation of lyrics as how they are set in those genre. That's why a country song of Dolly Parton's was recorded by Whitney Houston where the production changed the instrumentation & lead singer. There are many songs from Beethoven to Sting that can be changed by who & how they are recorded into some other style for the consumer. This is why I've shared a sample of my vocal root that the original recording had so you can hear it placed in the new one when the project is completed. Currently forward my songs are being marketed for licensing to other recording artists worldwide. Some are cross over tunes that will need new instrumentation in order to attract the singers representatives in order for them to consider them to record. All is good as long as the projects are positive in the right direction. Hope you enjoy the vocal root sample I'm sharing here now for awhile.
Story Behind the Song
This is what is called a "vocal root" that professional vocalist creates by singing in the recording studio. This section of the track also has the background vocals that I also did since I have ability in many octaves like I inherited from my Grandpa and it saves in CJP-NHRecords production costs. It's really NOT for commercial release but I am at this time sharing it ONLY HERE for Broadjam members.
