It's a stroll song that reminds you of the era of music when making out in the back seats of the cars was common as bobby socks & pony tails that were worn during the sock hop era - retro times.
Story Behind the Song
Nikki's FIRST Number One Song in USA: Nikki Hornsby was performing in San Pedro CA USA at a club where requests came to her for songs she then learned like "All In The Game" & "You Don't Know Me" and many others. She placed these songs in a melody until she noticed the dancing couples faces. They were dreaming of where they were when they first heard those songs. Nikki then wrote her song and included it in the medley the next evening. When she played it no one knew until she told the audience they had inspired it. It was then that she finally accepted the offers of financing from a business owner in another city to record 4 releases that following year. This song was the first #1 that Nikki had on WBYO Radio 50k watt station in Penn. (copy of that charting on CJP-NHRecords.com) She was then told it was also the first Sax in a country song and why some country radio stations wouldn't play it, so it was marketed in Europe as her others which were all placed in the Top 5 that year as "Let Me Take You On A Dream" was inspired by the audience from the oldies.
