Info
Unlike most natural-born front men, John Feely never longed for the spotlight. He humbly started out as a lone musician and songwriter playing music anywhere he can, whether it be at home, for friends at college, or in a local coffee shop. Lead guitarist Clayton Liggitt grew up in a musical household and started out on piano at 8 before turning to guitar by the age of 17.
John and Clayton first met in early 2005 at a progressive religious forum for artists and the creatively inclined. After excessively complimenting each other’s musical talents, they began writing songs together.
Songs like Louisiana Rain demonstrate a clear passion for the metaphor. Interpreted as either the skies falling apart on a lost soul or the weight of the world raining on the poor, “It’s all about the directions you take... the perspectives you have on the world,” explains Clayton.
