Defiantly retro, ambitious, and with a fierce bite, Australian band The Caning screams the heavier spectrum of classic rock straight from the 1970s right into your ears, cutting against the grain with electrifying guitar licks, '70s-inflected sounds, crunchy bass and aggressive, gnawing edges. Put simply, it's sweaty, passionate, gritty and blistering, and as authentic as rock's roots have always been.

Emerging onto the highly competitive Melbourne, Australia live music circuit in 2012, the band have just completed their debut album with producer Tim Gilles (Anthrax, The Misfits, 36 CrazyFists), mixed by Gilles and Matt Messenger, and mastered by Alan Douches. The album is scheduled for release in early 2014.
