Yves Stilmant is a Belgian-born composer, producer, and recording engineer whose career spans more than five decades. Based in California, he has built a reputation for sonic precision, emotional depth, and musical versatility—bridging rock, country, and cinematic orchestration with equal mastery.
Yves has played, recorded, met with world-class artists including The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kim Wilson, Gregg and Matt Bissonette, Bruce Conte, Lydia Pense, Supertramp, and Jo Satriani. His credits extend across major studios in Europe and the U.S., from Paramount and Cherokee in Hollywood to ICP and Pyramid in Brussels.
As a member of the Recording Academy (GRAMMYs), Yves continues to produce and compose through Audio Alchemy / Lumière SoundWorks and Groove Tattoo Publishing, with more than 675 original works registered with ASCAP—each reflecting a lifetime devoted to sound, storytelling, and musical excellence.

Yves Stilmant is a Belgian-born musician, songwriter, and producer whose career spans over five decades. A true rocker at heart, Yves built his reputation both on stage and in the studio as a fiery guitarist, and prolific songwriter, blending raw energy with melodic precision. Now based in California since 1991, he channels his lifelong experience into crafting modern country rock anthems, emotional ballads, and high-octane instrumental pieces that showcase both virtuosity and soul.
Since his first professional studio sessions in 1971, Yves has worked alongside an impressive roster of world-class artists, including The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Kim Wilson, Tommy Castro, Gregg Bissonette (Maynard Ferguson, David Lee Roth, Toto, Joe Satriani, Ringo Starr All Star Band), Matt Bissonette (Rick Springfield, Joe Satriani, Elton John, REO Speedwagon), Bruce Conte (Tower of Power), Lydia Pense & Cold Blood, Supertramp, John Sykes (Blue Murder, Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake), and Peter Cor (Earth, Wind & Fire, Lee Ritenour, Hubert Laws), among others.

Beyond the world of rock, Yves has forged a second creative path as a cinematic and soundtrack composer, drawing inspiration from Hans Zimmer, John Williams, and James Newton Howard, James Horner. He creates sweeping orchestral scores and thematic suites for novels, films, and concept albums -- blending epic symphonic textures with rock intensity to craft a sound uniquely his own.
Yves is the founder of Audio Alchemy / Lumière SoundWorks and Groove Tattoo Publishing, with more than 675 original works registered with ASCAP and dozens of albums released across multiple genres.
