Press Info

I recently had the pleasure, and I do mean pleasure, of listening to a sampler CD by guitarist JEFF WOODS. The three cuts - "Lost But Not Forgotten" , "Better Believe It" and "Harmony" - were all originals. If this small sampling of his music was any indication of JEFF's talent, then I'll go on record right now as saying that he has a brilliant and lucrative career ahead of him. As I listened closely to his very versatile style of play, I found myself thinking that he could probably play just about any kind of music and play it well. The cuts all consisted of lots of jazz, with just the right amount of blues mixed in, a few hints of classical and even a flash or two of flamenco. . I look forward to listening to more of JEFF WOODS, and am sure that soon I'll be seeing his name in lots more places. Bio

A native of Joliet Il., Jeff Woods has spent 34 years performing in a variety of bands and professionally.
A self-taught musician, being exposed to various styles of music has enabled him to create a unique style of his own. Most of his earlier work was done in the Chicago area suburbs. He recorded a 30 second commercial for Gonzo's, a night club in Illinois, which aired on WJOL out of Joliet. Jeff recorded and published a 30 minute Blues/Rock Cassette called Restless Night. Since Blues/Rock is his main style, a radio station in Hayward Wisconsin interviewed Jeff for almost an hour, introducing him and his tape on WOJB's Blues Monday
program. Jeff has been getting International exposure due to his increased activity with music hosting web sites. Seven out of seven songs have hit the charts on BeSonic, with "Lost But Not Forgotten" rating #2 as a "Hottest Mover of the Day" on the global charts. Four of the seven songs have frequently been on the charts on BeSonic for over three years. "Lost But Not Forgotten" was also picked as one of "BeSonics Best Blues" and was chosen as #6 on "Bad Blues Played Good", a compilation CD from Besonic. On Mp3.com, "Which Way Did He Go" topped the Instrumental Rock charts at #1, #2 and #5. A radio station in Macedonia Europe (1000 Skopje) contacted Jeff after hearing his music on the Internet, asking to use his music on their Blues/Jazz Program.

Hi, I checked out your track and really liked the sound, strong production and definitely something that could work well for sync.
I did notice a few small things that might be limiting its placement potential, mainly around metadata, track versions, and how the catalog is presented.
Those details tend to matter a lot when supervisors are filtering music.
I spend a lot of time helping artists get their music fully sync-ready, so if you're open, I'd be happy to share a few quick pointers.

No pressure at all, just thought I'd reach out.

That's awesome, thanks. I haven't been actively recording for a short while but plan on starting back up ASAP. Any help is always welcome.
Best,
Jeff Woods

Hi Jeff,

Really appreciate you getting back to me, and that's great to hear you're planning to jump back into recording soon. Timing-wise, that actually puts you in a strong position to set things up properly before you start releasing again.
From what I heard in your track, you've already got a solid foundation creatively. It's really just about making sure everything around the music is positioned in a way that gives it the best shot at landing placements and generating consistent income.
What I typically do with artists in your position is help them get their catalog structured and sync-ready from the ground up, so when they do start putting music out again, they're not leaving opportunities on the table.
If you're open to it, we can move this over to email topetemmy091@gmail.comĀ and I can walk you through how this would look specifically for your music and goals.

Let me know what works best for you.

Best,
Temmy
