Jane Wexler's distinctive style of soft rock has been aptly described by one music critic as "Rickie Lee Jones meets Jewel and they head uptown for green tea at Fay Wang's house!" A gifted keyboardist, with classical piano training, Jane has also developed a unique vocal style.
After living in Shanghai China, where she performed in a rock band and an acoustic duo, she recorded her first album 'Small World' with Melbourne producer Chris Wilson. The album proved to be a cornucopia of rich, melodic pop with feisty, insightful lyrics, and led to management by Brian Peacock, who was responsible for the successful development of several innovative Australian artists including The Dugites, Eurogliders, Redgum and Wa Wa Nee.
She began working on her second album with leading Australian jazz and world music record producer Gary Ridge. 'This World' was later produced by Jen Anderson of Black Sorrow's fame, using an impressive cast of some of Australia's leading musicians.
