Wabi Sabi - formerly Damian Cartier (And His My Newt Orchestra)

DamianCartier is a pianist / singer / songwriter who is originally from Newport,RI. Damian has performed at the JVC Newport Jazz Festival, opened for Phish, G-Love and the Special Sauce, The Wailers, Dizzy Gillespie, Maynard Ferguson, and Spyrogyra. in January of 1998, Damian moved to Atlanta, GA. and began putting together “His My Newt Orchestra”. Since the band began as a duo in 1999, they have expanded to a nine piece by 2003, and have acquired several talented musicians and enthusiastic fans along the way. In 2003, they released their first cd entitled “Attention! Damian Disorder” and was immediately given Southern Loca Area Band's "Band of the Month Award". They are currently playing locally in Atlanta, and are looking to expand to the Southeast and beyond.
