Vanessa balances delightfully sweet vocals with heartfelt lyrics and a distinctive compositional style to create a pleasantly addictive popular music experience. As a classically trained pianist and soprano vocalist, she draws upon that training to deliver her fresh style of soulful pop ballads filled with lyrical and emotional purity. Her musical influences include Taylor Swift, Avril Levine, Jason Mraz, Kina Grannis, and Jack Johnson. Vanessa was honored to win the title of Niagara Idol 2012 with a live performance of her original song 'In My Head', and received subsequent radio play on 105.1 Ed FM. Her cache of original compositions is growing as she branches out to explore new musical genres, and life experiences are woven into her trademark storytelling lyrics.
