Story Behind The Song
This was the result of a late night song writing session. The music is an obvious homage to "Sweet Home Alabama" which accounts for the country rock feel. Th lyrics flowed out with a certain cadence to match the rhythm and mood of the music.

Lyrics
Same As The Other Man 1999 Michael B. Carlisle
Verse 1:
Way up high on the mountain,
Out behind where the green grass grows.
Sits a man with his patience ,
Waitin? for his day to come.
Verse 2:
Way down South in the valley,
Sits a man with his gun.
Well ain?t planin, to use it
But he knows he will if the day should come.
Chorus:
With your feet in the fire.
And your heart in your hands.
It don?t matter what your thinkin?, no it don?t
Your still the same as the other man.
Verse 3:
Way out West at the ocean,
Sits a man in the sun.
You know he knows it don?t get much better.
Still he wonders where?s the fun.
Chorus:
BREAK (Guitar and Keyboard Ad Lib Solos)
Verse 4:
Way out East in the city,
Sits a man atop the word.
As he looks out on eternity.
He wonders when he?ll have enough.
Chorus:
Ad Lib Chorus to END
