Dancing In The Moonlight

Story Behind The Song

I was playing an open mic at a bar in the Upper West Side in New York City, and two students were filming a scene for their vampire movie. They asked me to write a song on the spot, so I wrote this song, the idea being that a male vampire is trying to seduce a female human through dance.

Lyrics

Dancing in the moonlight, with you,
Dancing in the moonlight with you,
Babe you are so fine, I want you to come home with me.

Dancing in the moonlight, with you,
Dancing in the moonlight with you,
Babe you are so fine, I want you to come home with me.

Past the full moon is love,
Maybe we can peer behind the curtain.

Dancing in the moonlight, with you,
Dancing in the moonlight with you,
Babe you are so fine, I want you to come home with me.

Past the full moon is love,
Maybe we can peer behind the curtain.
