Story Behind The Song

We wanted to explore pain and guilt that we carry around as adults from childhood. Genine is a fictional character but we believe that we can all relate to a time when we stood by, maybe we did not participate, and did nothing when another kid was getting picked on or mistreated.

Song Description

A poignant recollection of a boy who helplessly watched the exploitation of a young girl, Genine, and his wish that he had protected her. This story also deals with neglected children, the ones who are mistreating Genine and Genine whose father and mother are never around. The pain of remembrance never goes away and we all live with the after effects of our experiences for years.......
