When I awake in a crust,
enmeshing gears of lust and rust,
I try to lift myself from bed,
my bodys up, but my spirits lead.
So why do I need to be Jekyll and Hyde,

And every day I write my story

just a ray of reflected glory,
and not a light that shines on its own.

The skys so dense, it seems opaque,
a granite dome I cant break

as moonbeams fall forlorn,
an opal light reflecting sorrow
of dreams that die ere theyre born.

So as the days go molting down,
ten thousand more, Im in the ground.
For life is not heavens lead-in,
but four score of sweetest Eden.
So theres no time left to be Jekyll and Hyde;
when by now, I should know,
