Story Behind The Song
I got sooooooo tired of hearing women trash their husbands, I don't know where this practice started and why they think it's ok but it needs to end. These are invariably the women who fall for the alcoholic womanizers. Go figure...
Most of all though it is a song I wrote for my husband who happens to be a Really Good Man.
Song Description
This is a love song for the average guy who works his butt off daily to provide for his family. He would move heaven and earth to make them happy and when they are not, he feels like he's failed. Woomen need to know that they need to cherish these guys and the guys themselves need to know how wonderful they are.

Lyrics
He doesn't have much use for
Silver and gold
And he doesn't care that his
Body's growing old
And if you need a little help
He's there with outstretched hand
He's just a Really Good Man
And he wonders why
Suddenly
He can no longer please you
And he wonders where the bitterness
Comes from
And he'd change the world if he could
With just a wave of his hand.
But he's not a God
He's just a really good man.
And he'd climb the highest mountain to see
A smile play across your face
And he never noticed
Your feet of clay.
And all your flaws camouflaged
And an angel in their place
And he wonders why
You never
See yourself this way.
And he wonders why suddenly
He can no longer please you.
And he wonders where the bitterness
comes from.
And he'd change the world if he could
With just a wave of his hand
But he's not a God
He's just a really good man.
He's not a God
He's just a really good man
He's not a God
He's just
A Really Good Man.
