Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song during an apprenticeship with a Mexican shaman who was teaching me to embrace everything. That only my expectations were making me unhappy. If I could accept life the way it is with all of it's warts and wrinkles.. my perception would actually shift to one of beauty.
Song Description
In all of us is the natural response to project our mood outward. When bad things happen, when we are afraid - we see with those eyes. What if when bad things happen or we are afraid, if we accepted it and didn't judge it? What happens when we don't judge ourselves or those around us? There is no resistance. There is no punishment. We are free of these things. THis song is about that moment when no matter how bad it gets, when we don't judge it we have the possibility of being in the present moment. When we are in the present moment - just simply experiencing life - feeling that we are alive - it's a beautiful life...
