Story Behind The Song

Marcy Tillman was the blue-eyed blonde bombshell that every guy and even some of the girls had a crush on all through high-school. In English class, Marcy would talk about how romantic Shakespeare was and I knew the only way I had a chance with her was if I wrote her a poem. So I stayed up all night writing and rewriting verse after verse, line after line, over and over again until I had the perfect poem for Marcy. The next day when I gave Marcy the poem, she read it, smiled at me warmly and walked off with her college boyfriend. She?s always been my blue flame.

Song Description

An intricate and dynamic contemporary pop song. Leading in with a mellow chorus, the hook transitions into a playful verse. The bridges solo the organ and carry through into ascending pre-choruses.
