Lyrics
The Grand Symphony
by Aaron Bendickson
On a classroom stage, among the folding chairs
The Grand Symphony is scripted and prepared
A child is like a song waiting to be heard
Seeking inspiration, a melody and words
As children grow, they move away
To realize their songs someday in their own way
The band plays on, seasons change
Generations pass, new faces new names
I will sing the songs written in me
And offer up my movement in the Grand Symphony
The teachers are the music, the sowers of the seed
Gardeners of hope and advocates of dreams
Through instruments of learning they dedicate their lives
To works they cannot finish and songs they cannot write
As children grow, they move away
To realize their songs someday in their own way
The band plays on, seasons change
Generations pass, new faces new names
I will sing the songs written in me
And offer up my movement in the Grand Symphony
