Lyrics

Hollywood Dreaming

(intro)

(verse)

As you stared into the mirror

Brushed your hair back from your face

The message couldn't be clearer

You gotta get out of this place

Before it's just too late

(pre-chorus)

On your way out to Hollywood

Lord knows you'll be looking good

Gazing out that Greyhound at me

Growing up across the tracks

I know you won't be looking back to see

This small town and me

(chorus)

Hollywood (California)

Hollywood dreaming (Gonna make the big time)

Hollywood (I still remember)

Hollywood dreaming (how you used to be mine)

(repeat intro)

(verse)

You say it's better to have a big dream

Than to not have one at all

Things aren't always what they seem

At life's casting call

It's a long hard way to fall

(repeat pre-chorus)

(repeat chorus)

Great drive! It is ready for that next level, maybe a scene in law and order!

By the time the vocals start it feels like a good groove, mix is really good, recorded well too. Catchy lyrics, Hollywood and California are great hooks! There's a lot to love about this song, the verses are outstanding, nice changes, hits and that organ!!! Plus a sick ending. Great mix.. really great job, the vocals are all very present, clear and not a bunch of reverb. Loved it!!

Tragically Hip sound. Nice drive to the tune. Springsteen esk lyrics.

Nice instrumentation, vocal pitch is good, decent hook

Nice guitar sound, and the vocals sound great. Good rock song and the production is excellent. Great potential
The arrangement is spot on and enough changes to keep the song interesting. Great work

Love the intro. Grabs you right from the word go. Very good chord progressions. Original idea. Love the instrumentation. Very cool retro rock sound.

You had catchy lyrics, and something I could learn very easily and sing along to. The lyrics painted a great picture in my head of the going to hollywood dream, way to paint the picture. I really liked the ripping guitar rhythm, had a very nice punch along with the pounding drums, it kept me involved.

I like this tune! Got a good "feel good" party vibe. Can see a crowd singing along to this one. I personally love the vocalist's style!

Pure classic rock, Bob Seeger meets the baby's, nice ragged guitar sound, this has such a familiar sound, sort of like a collection of classic riffs out together in a new way. Organ sounds great, guiter is sloppy but rocking.

I like the song a lot. It's a great rocker. Great guitar work and strong vocal. Instruments nicely balanced. Guitar patch just right. I love the little guitar arpeggios and sustained(??)chords that punctuate the song.

great hook solid Ac/dc drumming
