Story Behind The Song
The melody was written as just that a melody in 2001. No words seem to fit it. Then I went to a Blue Angle performance in 2002 and about a month after that experience these words just melded into the melody.
Song Description
Trying to look at this through the pilots' eyes instead of the crowds'. The crowd is awe struck usually and the pilots are cool and precise but it still has to be a rush to do this.

Lyrics
The Rush (Blue Angels)
Eighteen inches separate us from touching. Twelve miles a minute as we fly through the air. Yellow and blue are the colors you look for. Rolling thunder we appear from no where. Feel the rush as it takes you over. Feel the rush make you strong. Feel the rush and the spell that I?m under. Feel the rush carry on. Climb ten thousand feet in just seconds. Falling downward you float as you fly, from the ground disappear from exsistance. There is no boundary but the ground from the sky. Feel the rush as it takes you over. Feel the rush make you strong. Feel the rush and the spell that I?m under. Feel the rush carry on. Flying low for the crowd. Flying high flying loud. Feel the rush and the spell that I?m under. Feel the rush that I,m on.
