About Ravensong

Ravensong is a pipe dream, An unreachable Ideal, a quest into the dark and unknown spirit of humanity. My music is real, my music is from the heart and from the soul and is always true as they are written to felt and experienced within the range of human psyche. If you are looking for shiny colorful soap bubbles that are empty of any true meaning you wont find them here, there is already plenty of that in the music world. I will give you true, honest and meaningful music to be approved or not at your
discretion. Best of luck to all on this site and never stop writing.

Great to see you into some music again, my friend! Your Prelude is the classic style of a rock intro. Beautifully done! John

Thank you so much John it was a pretty lazy summer but it did me some good. Feels good to be writing and playing again. I need to check out your new mix for "Equal" thanks again John. Cheers Scott

I've been getting busy remixing my songs. Besides making "Equal!" clearer, the piano really comes out. It sounded so flat previously. I also remixed/mastered "The Most of Nothing." The guitars are much crisper. I'm very pleased with all the stuff I've been learning. What would you think of giving me a shot at working on "Ride the Rails"? I really think that song could hit! It one of the greatest songs Neil Young never wrote.

Haha well thanks John, now that's a complement. Unfortunately, it was on the old laptop, I can try to copy the files to the new computer but if that fails, I can re-record it as I would love to have you take the raines on it. I'll let you know what happens with it and thanks again.

Hi, Scott. Many thanks for the stars on "Far From Home." You gave the best advice almost a year ago to polish it up more with the mastering. It sounded great after Martin worked on it, and it got me curious about mixing and mastering. When Jess Gordon wrote me that she learned how to do it and not even a year had gone by so I knew I had to try it! Your friend, John

Hey John, happy to hear that I was able to help in some small way, you really don't need much assistance as your skills are already top shelf and "Far from Home" is a great song. You are a natural for this mixing and mastering process as your curious mind is always exploring new avenues of creativity. I've been having a very "lazy summer" in that i have not accomplished anything worthwhile musically haha but now that fall is upon us, I think I can finally get back to work. All the best my friend. Scott

Hey Warren wow! thank, thank you so much my friend. "Standing Beside you in Darkness" was actually recorded in 2006 when I had my studio at full potential. The studio fell apart around 2010 and there was an 11 year pause in my music until around 2020 when I was finally able to start rebuilding it, which is why my production quality was lacking, however I have now built it back up. Again thank you so much Warren your words mean a great deal to me. All the best to you sir. Cheers.
