Pat Stack writes and performs music in Ketchikan a small island community in Southeast Alaska with a population of about 14,000 people. When you listen to Pat's music you will hear a lot of heart. Every song he writes is very personal and reflective. "I try to write music that captures my feelings and emotions, but also leaves a window open for other interpretations. A well written song can have many different meanings to many different people." I am continuously analyzing music and I am currently interested in how Celtic and Bluegrass music will influence popular music. It's is always something special when Pat and his brother Jon Stack get together and play a live show. Day of Sin, Shine, and Sacrifice are the results of a weekend trip to Portalnd where I recorded with my brother Jon (for the first time) in my friends living room.
