Like a bowlful of colorful marbles, Marvel is a collection of unique songs by Mrs. Kate.  Where else are you going to find tunes about chocolate and pickleball?  Smartphones and bounce houses?  Hiking and litter?  God ruling your thought life?  Let Your Heart Live Forever and All of my Friends are Dead?  Here's your ticket to the crazy world of Mrs. Kate!  Fasten your seatbelt and get ready to Root, Little Piggy!
I've gotten a lot of great comments on my song, All of my Friends are Dead.  Don't let the title fool you!  It's actually a really fun song!  Geared to the 90+ crowd, but younger people are enjoying it, too!

Hey Kate, thanks for the nice review of my song, "The Ballad of Diamond Joe"....I added the lyrics, per your request. Indeed, it is all real....I never use AI. Yes, it is longer because back in the 60's and 70's, I never put a clock on a song.....well, not ALL the time, but if it was a story song like this one, I never chose to define it by time. Oddly enough, I don't listen to a clock either. My songs are perfect in their imperfections. AI, over here, stands for "Absolutely Incapable".... Yeee-haw! I think I told you about the song I was working on...took a while to get it done, as I wanted it to be perfectly imperfect and inspiring. Moreover, my wife is starting to heal from her back surgery and being in need of 24-7 help (me) during this whole grueling process. Anyway, my goal with the new songs was to create a poignant song like, "Yesterday", but not make it a knock off...so I did several different renditions.... then settled on a gentle-waltz like tune, country-folk...kind of like a prayerful lullaby. Imagine that. It is entitled, "Believe Today". I did something very different with this track, too. I sang it in my lowest register...so it has a Waylon Jennings and Randy Travis sound. Just me singing and finger-picking a guitar. I "talked to the song" and it is what "IT" wanted .... Oddly enough, not getting much of response. I did have a great old, famous Nashville friend say it is a very nice song, but "toooo poetic for the Nashville Yahoos". That WAS a compliment. Here ya go. Hi, Kate! Can a guy be a primadonna? Well, a guy can now be a bitch! Anything goes these days. I had completely different (and not nearly as good) lyrics until Robert Quigley from Conan Bridge, Scotland, got on it and started rattling off lines just off the cuff faster than I could type! Was AI used? I use a software of royalty-free sounds by studio musicians of separate instruments called Band in a Box. It does not cull sounds from songs or vocals of records that were already made and under copyright. It's a big advantage to know how to read music to enter the chords, notes, time signatures, beats, key, and so forth to put the background music together. I always list the performance by B. Andi Nabox. No one's figured it out yet! My mixing and mastering skills have improved greatly in the last five years. A little trivia...remember "The Bitch is Back" by Elton John. Sometimes Elton John would return to Bernie Taupin and his wife, Maxine, in a really bad mood. Maxine would say to Bernie, "Well, the bitch is back!" Bernie thought it was a great title for a song and wrote the lyrics to become Elton John's personal theme song.

Hey Kate, Thanks of the nice review of "Say Your Prayers At Night"....a sweet tune. I used to sing it to my boys... mostly the chorus.... God bless, Chester ..... PS I am being inducted in the Kansas Historical Society as a Curated Creative Artist and Asset Repository...they will be collecting, cataloguing and storing all my physical assets....which have filled up two storage garages....there is a concert coming up sometime in the future. Unfortunately, Nancy's health is not good as her back issues have gotten worse, so, until they are fixed, I am her care-taker... which is my honor. ALSO, I am beginning a new album concept that I have been planning for the past two years....really inspiring and unique songs and musical arrangements....
