Michael Keister - Songwriter

A budding songwriter? I don't know, but I love music and have something in me that needs to get out. The result is my little (but growing) collection of unique songs about whatever topic strikes my fancy. I hope you enjoy them. Seeking collaboration with other artists and composers if you think we're on the same wave.

I suspect that I'm somewhat rythmically challenged - it's all because Mrs. Binns (my 5th grade teacher) took away my drum sticks! - but I'm working on improving my ability to groove.

Strongest influences are all of the classic rock songs of the 60's, 70's 80's and 90's. Especially fond of progressive rock composition that seeks to explore new and exciting chordal and rythmic structures, and is unapologetic about it. I don't care so much about the fantasy lyrics though - I'd rather write words that have real meaning and maybe even make you think a little bit while you're enjoying the music.
