At times practicing up to 8 hours a day when he first started. 6 months later, he began writing his own songs in 1996, and has been ever since. In 2000, he began teaching himself how to record his own music and now produces it. On the upside of his own solo project, Justin is now also the singer of the hard rock/metal band "Alykai". Formed previously and through struggles they had as many singers and musicians were uncommited, Justin stepped in and decided to take his songwriting to the next level. So far they're just practicing, but they're working on original material and are planning on being show-ready by next year! He is a 9/10 star artist and has had downloads on CNET.com in the top 100 hot download's section. He has also been a top artist in many of the places he has lived throughout Missouri, and has performed for places such as Army MWR shows, and much more!
About Justin Williams
Born, and originally hailing from the Kansas City area, Justin Williams is a guy with a his own sound with a twist twist. Born of David Williams - A renowned lead guitarist from K.C. that has played with bands such as Poppin' Fresh (An 80's cover band who played the 1985 Spirit Festival with Oleta Adams, featuring vocalist/bassist John Anderson, and keyboardist/vocalist Joan Anderson), The Terry Wilder Band (a band in the 90's that performed many clubs, bars, and local venues), The Metropolitans (an acoustic trio that performed many clubs, and also got to play at the K.C. Arts Festival in 2004), along with other popular cover bands in the area - however, Justin is actually seeking with all original material. A fan of MANY styles, and many generations of music (some listed here and on his friends list), he combines many styles into one.

In 2000, after being in and out of many high school bands, both as a drummer, a guitarist, and a vocalist, he began teaching himself how to record his own music and now produces it. A father of a very beautiful son, and after getting out of the Army, he is working on some unique material which has not even been recorded and looking for gigs.

"I got a response for an ad nearby seeking a singer, and someone told me I sounded like Corey Taylor of Slipknot... which is a huge compliment since he is an influence. And I realized that you know, I've been working on this solo project thing for ten years... I'm not gonna stop but dammit, it's time I help contribute some of my knowledge and skills to others and get something going. I've been in and out of bands because they weren't serious enough, and the bands just fell apart because they wanted to sound like Tool (who rock don't get me wrong... but I can't top maynord. ha!), and other people rather than our own sound. Now we've finally got a chance, and we'll get it done! Because I've got a family now, and I gotta get something going instead of sitting around just letting it all simmer in slowly.
