A highly energetic tenor is the best way to describe Jay Curtis. Born in Southern Maryland, Jay began singing at a young age after the death of a loved one. He found comfort and therapy through his music. Jay has entered into many choirs, chorus' and honors chorus' throughout his enrollment in school, but didn't record his first song until 2001. That year Jay recorded a song entitled "Show Me Love", which gained the attention of a few DJ's overseas. So from then on Jay became incredibly serious about pursuing his music career.

Jay describes his first time on stage at a school talent show as being "an profound experience" that leads him to the passion of making music. With great artists such as Smokey Robinson, Percy Sledge, Prince, Whitney Houston, Tina Turner & Aaliyah on his playlist he has molded a style of his own.
