I am a singer/songwriter based here in Venice. Though originally from Indiana, I have lived in California for a little more than a decade. I sort of "found" songwriting after realizing I had no real interest in being a writer (I was an English major in college), and that although there are things I like and appreciate about acting, I really wasn't an actor either. That's when I realized that for me, writing songs and playing music is the truest form of expression. Basically, I just really like it. And feel I have become pretty good at it. At this point, I have been writing songs and playing music seriously for about six years, and have probably written enough good material to fill at least three albums. I have performed around town as the typical solo acoustic performer, playing open mics and coffee houses; as well as being the front man of my own band. In the end, I honestly feel that playing music is what I can and should be doing. I feel like I found my calling.
