Hunt Sidway inherited his love of music from his father, a successful opera and Broadway vocalist. After writing and performing his songs throughout college, Hunt emerged in the 1990s as a regular on the Louisville music scene, developing a following through his live shows and debut CD.
For his sophomore disc, BALANCE, Hunt assembled a production team and cast of like-minded musicians whose influences complement his own, melding a wide variety of rock, acoustic and pop styles ranging from Jackson Browne to U2, and from Steely Dan to Suzanne Vega. The strong arrangements, filled with lyrical and melodic hooks, entertain while still delivering a pertinent message.
Alternating between solo-acoustic and full-band gigs, Hunt has showcased at Mom’s Music Fest 2003, MEIC, 2NMC, and this year’s first LMIA/Budweiser Showcase in Louisville. Now based in Cincinnati, Hunt plans to launch his new CD regionally in early 2004, with shows in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.

"Sidway's songwriting is tuneful... His lyrics run to the introspective and emotive, though, unlike today's youthful, over-the-top 'emo-rage', Sidway's songs are both gentle and thoughtful, an increasingly rare occurrence."
