I sure do love playing piano and performing. I love writing and recording even more.

I think collaborations make the writing stronger.

I'm good at melodies and I'm still doing my best on lyrics. So anyone out there looking to connect with another writer, give me a shout.

I haven't sold anything on Bjam yet. But I have been in the business for a long time. So give a listen and tell me what you think. Thanks.

Dan Gillogly Bio: General

Dan Gillogly has been working in the entertainment industry since he left high school and his mother still wants to know when he is going to get a job.
At one time or another, he has written and performed music for A&E, Comedy Central, WGN, and NPR. Dan has scored soundtracks for 20 short films and did 18 episodes on "My Talk Show" which aired on FOX-TV in 1990.
He was Music Director at the Mecca of Improvisational comedy The Second City. As Music Director, he wrote songs and scripts with many of today's current superstars in the entertainment industry. In addition to being a part of 11 award winning revues, he has appeared with Steve Carell (The Office, 40 Year Old Virgin, Evan Almighty), Stephen Colbert (The Daily Show, The Colbert Report), Jim Belushi, Dan Castellaneta (voice of Homer Simpson), Chris Farley, Bonnie Hunt (Beethoven, Jumanji, The Green Mile), Mike Meyers (Austin Powers, Wayne's World) Tim Meadows (Ladies Man, Walk Hard, Semi Pro), Joel Murray (Mad Men, Dharma & Greg), Jeff Garlin (Wall-E, Curb Your Enthusiasm) to name only a few.
Keeping his improvisational skills alive, Dan has been carving out a niche for himself in a Dueling Pianos Show that appears all over the country. Taking all of the best skills he developed over 30 years of performing, Dan has now taken to the stage with his unique brand of comedy, interactive sing along and musical talents on the piano for corporate clients that include, Hormel Foods, Pre-Cast Concrete, Midwest Transit, AT&T, Kellogg Foods, Friedman Corp., Sears and McDonalds.

He remains active in the Chicago music community where he has performed with Grammy Award winning Sugar Blue and blues legend Koko Taylor. He has recorded with rock legends Wishbone Ash on their Live CD in 1991.

Dan continues to keep his wife and 4 kids fed and housed in Chicago as a performer, an educator and a producer all because he has more fun with sound than is legally allowed by law.
