Greg Freeman

Songwriter/Producer

Greg's introduction to the industry came through his father, the late Sonny Freeman, former percussionist for legendary Bluesmaster B.B. King. Greg developed and fine-tuned his skills through involvement with locally renowned jazz and symphonic bands, which includes Cass Tech High School's music program, and later during college with Howard University's concert band. Greg has collaborated on special projects with legendary songwriter and vocalist William Guest, formerly with Gladys Knight and the Pips and former Grammy and MTV award nominee Montell Jordan. Greg has also performed with songstress sensation Penny Wells. Through his start-up production company, GERG Music Productions (BMI) in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Greg released his debut CD "More To Life" in 2002, which sold in several countries. In 2004, Greg's second release under GERG Music Productions was "Believe" with dynamic R&B/Neo-Soul vocalist, Marlin Wilson-Page. From 2005-2008 Sports Radio 1130AM WDFN The Fan, Detroit's number one sports talk show (The Stoney & Wojo show), ran Greg's remix of the show's theme music. In 2007 Greg released his third CD, "Mosaic". In 2008, the CD was re-released through itunes, courtesy of Big Gator Publishing and The Royalty Network, Inc. In that same year expert music industry judges recognized the song "Goodbye" as a Finalist in the U.S. Songwriting Competition. "First Lady" received the honor of Semi-Finalist in the U.K. Songwriting Contest. WIIT 88.9 FM in Chicago, VerticalFix.com and Musically Speaking with Rosetta Hines at rosettahines.com, based in Atlanta, GA and Las Vegas, NV respectively, are currently sharing songs from "Mosaic" with their listening audiences.
