Dan Hutson is a country singer/songwriter born in Bowie, TX on July 17,1972. He grew up in Krum, TX. His influences include Bob Wills, Lefty Frizzell, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Conway Twitty and George Strait, Keith Whitley, Alan Jackson, Clint Black, Garth Brooks and Tim McGraw. After graduating high school in 1990, he then joined the U.S. Navy where he began songwriting. Upon his discharge in 1994, he moved to Ft. Worth, TX where he continued his songwriting and spent the next few years performing on the Garland Opry in Garland, TX, and The Johnny High Country Music Revue in Arlington, TX. In 2000 he moved to Oklahoma City where he has performed on several shows at the Oklahoma Opry. For most of 2001 he was a regular at the Harrah Music Hall in Harrah, OK, performing every Friday and Saturday night. Dan moved to Nashville in May 2005 to furthur his music career. He has performed at various writer's nights around Nashville and is working on putting a band together.
