Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart ©

It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart
It's Like Looking Through A Needle In A Haystack, After Dark
It Really Wouldn't Matter What You Show Me
I Wouldn't Even Know Me
Cause It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart

You Want To Be Out There And Free
I Guess I Really Need Some Company
Someone I Feel Close To
Someone I'm The Most To
But, It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart

Go On And Tell Me All The Things You Think I Ought To Hear
Like It's Always Darkest Right Before It Clears
What's Meant To Be Is Meant To Be
But I Can't See The Forest Or The Trees
Cause It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart

It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart
When You're Feeling Like A Banquet And The Menu's A La Carte
If I Keep You Out Of Sight, Why Aren't You Out Of Mind
Everything's So Dark When You're Color-Blind
And It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart

Yeah, When You Take That Shot In The Dark
Well You're Bound To Upset That Old Applecart
And It's Hard To See Through The Eyes Of A Broken Heart

Typical music instrumentation for this song!
Good hook! Lovely Swing!
Smooth singer!
Great guitar backing!
Simple Lyric but well composed!
Would be a good song to dance to with your partner!

This is a polished country song. Sounds like it came right off the country radio station. At first I wasn't sure (being classified as traditional) if it was an original or a cover. Assuming it's original, I think there something really fun and special here. I love the banquet/a la carte - such a fun lyric. Yeah some of the rhymes sound like they came out of the rhyming dictionary (upset the apple cart) but I loved 'em anyway. Great instrumentation, excellent performance. Nice job!

Here's another one......you always never disappoint

Nice Country Diddy here. This man didn't start yesterday people! It's all there
Just like a front row at the Grand ole OPREY!

Nice song love the lyrics

I LOVE TRADITIONAL MUSIC NICE JOB

Good choice on the placement of your song. It is 100% traditional. Nice job. I can picture Hank or Buck doing this song but with a little more twang. Perfect choice of instrumentation it worked well. Good clever ways to say the same old thing in an interesting way.

Good head boppin' foot stompin' song..
Great lyrics.and voice

that's what I'm talkin' about!! "gimme some steel" great old feel, good rhyme scheme, no, great rhyme scheme, I'm hearin' Asleep at the wheel, or commander cody, Jerry jeff, etc sounds like something I'd hear on Austin city limits. well written, performed well, I like it. It would be fun do do live!! thanks for sharing.

Killer country swing. Nice lyrics, well played, sung and recorded.

if one doesn't watch out your toes going to tap it's self silly.....I like that pedal steel.....that's what it is right?
