What is a C.P.E. It’s a Certified Philosophical Entertainer

Sterling Edward is a former Navy Attorney turned Songwriter, performer, and all around entertainer!. Singing acting and making people laugh are among his many gifts. Music is his fist passion, writing lyrics, melodies and collaborating with others. Whether it’s bringing messages of hope, inspiration or just telling stories some of pain and heartache others of love and triumph, that is what Sterling is all about. “ It’s about connecting emotionally with the listener or reader, introducing them to my own thoughts and passions, as expressed in my art.” Says Sterling.

As a musical theater performer, Sterling has been seen in productions of Gilbert & Sullivan’s H.M.S. Pinafore, Fantastiks, The Sound of Music and more. He has headlined for the Human Rights Campaign “Spring Fling” fundraising event (Long Beach Chapter) and made his professional Debut at Café Haven in Long Beach. Wasn’t it Melissa Etheridge who also began in Long Beach?! Currently, he is appearing with the Los Angeles Opera (his fourth production with the company at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.)

Sterling has appeared at many special events and private performances both in the West Coast and back in Atlantic City New Jersey, his hometown.
Sterling studied extensively with Grammy-winning artist, Darlene Koldenhoven, and in the UCLA extension program studying song-structure and composition.
