Mother Jane....an acoustically & vocally-driven original duo, based out of Lexington, KY. Beth Burden and Lisa Raymond are the two usually asked “which one is Jane?”

“Kentucky native Beth, whose “my own way” vocals show the maturity and sass of a veteran, together with Lisa’s Boston angled harmonies and their tight acoustic work raise “some of the sweetest folk sounds released in recent years.” gogirlsmusic.com

What do they sound like? The age old question for music that falls all across the contemporary folk category. Edgy acoustic pop, stirring ballads and a dip in the soul pool create an unmistakable blend of sweet-faced and in-your-face original songs.

Mother Jane was selected "One to Watch" for July 2004 by the nationally syndicated radio program, Acoustic Café. This monthly feature "highlights the best of today's up and coming artists who are moving out of their regional scene and on to the national stage."

This is the latest recognition that Mother Jane's recently released CD, "can't complain" has received this year. They have been featured artist on the nationally syndicated radio show Women In Music hosted by Laney Goodman, featured "Artist of the Week" on TripleARadio.com and have received airplay on 70+ non commercial radio stations across the country. Over thirty of these stations added the disc to their regular programming rotation. With this radio success, Mother Jane made their chart debut in June on the FMQB National AAA chart.
