When she writes, Martha Ann likes to draw upon her own personal experiences as well as those which others have related to her through their stories. It is her belief that truly meaningful songs must be honestly inspired by heartfelt emotion and hopes that she has successfully conveyed to each listener the emotion she felt when writing her songs.

If she is able to achieve that goal with only one listener, she considers her song to be a success.

Martha Ann performed in the Atlanta area for a number of years. After moving to the foothills of Northwest Georgia, she began to concentrate primarily on her songwriting although she still likes performing at select local and regional venues.
