Bio

Dead-Lift's beginning started in early 2003, based out of New York's Capital Region. Their fan base has grown over the years, due in part to, opening for such national bands as 40 Below Summer, Hed P.E., Powerman 5000 (4 times), Madball, Sworn Enemy and winning Channel 103.1 FM (owned by Clear Channel) Most Original Band Contest to open at The Family Values Tour in 2006 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC).

The first album released by the Dead-Lift was called “The Struggle” in June 2006. It’s so rightfully named as to show what it’s like to pursuit anything worth having in this life. Songs like “Left Behind”, “Respect Me Now” and “Just Like You” describe raw emotion in a grooved metal fashion. Other crowd favorites included “Bring it On”, “Tainted Mind”, “M.F.L” and “The Gnashing of Teeth”.

Mid 2007 brought major change to the line-up that was forged 4 years prior. Members include: Vocalist, Scott Thomson; Bassist, Joe Reilly; Guitarists, Paul Sacchetti and Brian Kurtz and newest member, drummer, Bob Lavoy.

Writing of their follow-up is in progress and is slated to be out by mid-2008. New songs like “For You”, “Break-Down” and “Crossed the Line” shows the evolution of the band. Dead-Lift has became a more efficient, determined and self sacrificing group of individuals, all giving into the pursuit of a very long standing dream...making music our career.
