Three Thousand Rivers is influenced by folk, funk, and indie rock (particularly Neutral Milk Hotel, The Mountain Goats, Jack White, and the Dodos), as well as the members' diverse musical backgrounds, including Balinese, West African, and South Indian drumming, modern classical music, funk, klezmer, and jazz. TTR is Noam Hassenfeld, Nick Demirjian, Jack Cashion, Warren Loegering, and Zoe Aqua.
