YAS CORTES DUO is formed by Maria Antonieta Cortes and Oscar Yas. The two were born in Argentina where they won several musical and vocal contests, including the most prestigious festival in all of Argentina-- COSQUIN. LATIN AMERICAN FOLK MUSIC,BOSSA NOVA and TANGO as well as BOLEROS and FLAMENCO are all a part of their extensive repertoire. The DUO performs their own arrangements in a wide range of music. Founders and members of various vocal ensembles, they have performed throughout the Americas as well as in Europe.
