Uncle Bert started in a rock band in 1967. with "Underground Sunshine" as lead vocal/ bass player. They recorded a cover of the Beatles song "Birthday" which peaked on the Billboard top 100 at 25 and stayed in the top 100 for 10 weeks. They played concerts with groups such as the "Beach Boys", "The Byrds", "Three Dog Night" and many more. They also did many TV shows: "Upbeat" in Cleveland, "Scene 70" in Indianapolis, "The Dennis Wholey Show" in Cincinnati and " Dick Clark's American Bandstand" in LA. Bert left the group in 1970 and joined "Eden Stone" from Milwaukee for 3 years. He'd had enough with hard rock and pursued a solo acoustic career in 1974. He performed at many hotel lounges, coffee house an colleges in the lower 48. Released his first solo album in 2015 consisting of songs he'd written from 1976 to present day. Currently gigging and recording his second project at his home studio in Montello, WI.
