Tracy A. Knowles Sr.

Tracy A. Knowles Sr. was born Sept. 13, 1959 to the proud parents of Garnett and Glendina Knowles, of High Rock South Andros. He is married to Ruth Knowles, and they have two children, Tamarah and Tracy Jr.. He is an IT Manager by profession.
His Mom bought him his first guitar at age 10 yrs., and he quickly learned how to play it.
In 1977 he formed a group called the Temple Brothers. The group's name was later changed to The Gospel Impressions. The Gospel Impressions went on to become one of the most popular Groups in the Bahamas, and also performed in various cities in the United States. The Group performed along with groups like The Winans, Commissioned, Shirley Caesar, The Gospel Keynotes, The Williams Brothers and many other world renowned Groups and Artists. They recorded two (2) singles and four (4) albums under his Leadership. He was not only one of the lead singers, but also the lead guitarist of the group for 16 years. Tracy Sr. remained the Leader of the Gospel Impressions until they became inactive in 2000.

In 2002, Tracy Sr. began work on a solo project.
He began writing songs for the album, and by the time he started recording at the end of 2002, Tracy Jr. suddenly became extremely good on the drums. It was then that Tracy Sr. decided to include Tracy jr. as the drummer. Tracy Jr. took on the challenge and did exactly what was required of him in the studio. At this point it became clear that the name Tracy Tracy represented Father and Son and was not by accident.

The Music CD titled "Born to Serve" was completed by November 2003, and released January 5th, 2004. The Father and Son team quickly became popular for their hit songs "Victory in Jesus" and "We are going up", and we're nominated for Marlin Awards for both songs. Tracy Sr. along with his wife Ruth, has traveled to 14 Family Islands Marketing the CD. Currently the CD is being played in London, Ghana Africa, Florida, other Caribbean Islands and on all Local Gospel stations in the Bahamas.

November 2005, Tracy Tracy released their 2nd CD titled "Christmas in the Bahamas with Tracy Tracy". The title song "Go tell it", won them their first Marlin Award in 2006.

Tracy Sr. is an Ordained Minister, and served as the Minister of Music at Pentecostal Church of Faith in God, Montel Heights for about 15 years. He left Pentecostal Dec. 2005
After 26 years of faithful service and dedication to that Ministry.

Now a member of Bahamas Faith Ministries, Tracy Sr. is one of the Worship Leaders, and occasionally play lead guitar and keyboard with the Band. He has been heavily impacted by the teaching of Dr. Myles Munroe on "The Kingdom", inspiring him to write a song called, "Seek ye first the Kingdom". Nov. 6, 2006 their 3rd. CD titled "Seek ye first the Kingdom", was released. This song has already become popular in Nassau. The song was first performed in Sept. 2006 in Tulsa, Oklahoma where Tracy Tracy accompanied Dr. Myles Munroe at a Conference held there. The audience was totally captured by the down-home rake & scrape, Bahamian music. The INSP Network has recorded a video Of Tracy Tracy performing this song Oct. 28, 2006, Poolside of the Marriott Resort, Cable Beach, Nassau Bahamas. This video will be aired for 1 year in 83 Countries during 2007. Tracy Sr. is excited about reaching the World with the message of the Kingdom in songs. The motto of the group is "Seek first God's Kingdom & Righteousness, and all that you need will be added unto you". (Matt. 6:33)
