The name Xacyl (pronounced Shakeel), comes from the artist name, Shakeel Qamar. This pseudo was made in late 2007 when I made my first original soundtrack called 'Snakez', but my musical influences date way back to my youth days, when I first played the game 'Commandos : Beyond the call of Duty'... I was hooked as soon as the menu soundtrack came on. I first got into trance hearing Darude's 'Sandstorm'. I started playing around with musical software in 2002 and was remixing songs by 2004. Nowadays, I make music casually, in a range of genres. The recent Dubstep phenomenon inevitably had an effect on my productions. In late 2010 I and a friend, 'Hadron', started collaborating to make the group, 'Soundlab' to produce dubstep tracks. Their first track, 'Anachronic' was quite successful gaining more than ten thousand views on youtube till date. Soundlab now consists of Xacyl, Hadron & AXT...
