I am a hobby musician that has been playing with MIDI for over a decade. I use Cakewalk 8 and Reason 3 for sequencing. I use a Casio CTK-611 as a controller keyboard plugged into an old SoundBlaster Live card. The songs I compose on Cakewalk use instruments from either the Casio keyboard itself (native as well as custom), or a Roland SC-55 sound canvas. I mainly use the Factory Sound Bank with Reason.

I usually describe my music to people as sounding like Yanni with a darkside, but I would welcome a better description if you have one.
